The name "Bridges to More" comes from the tutoring company I own and
operate by the same name. Bridges allow people to cross a current
obstacle and access new opportunities. Education is the primary bridge
to the fulfillment of life's purpose. Sometimes the bridge allows
people to view their situations rightly. Other times, it helps them get
out of those situations completely. At some point, we all need a
bridge to something more.
Therefore, from May 28-July
30, I will be teaching English to the police officers who guard tourists
in Guatemala. I will be stationed in 3 different cities throughout
that time (Guatemala City, Antigua, and Chichicastenango) building
bridges for these officers to better communicate with the people they
guard.
This trip originated as a mission trip.
However, I am also enrolled in graduate school at Dallas Baptist
University. By keeping an academic blog of all that I teach (as well as
doing a few other things), I will be able to obtain 3 hours of course
credit that fit perfectly with my degree plan.
So, if
you are interested in what I am teaching and how it goes, go to this blog, www.bridgestomore.blogspot.com. If you are interested in the day-to-day events as well
as the spiritual side of what I will be doing, stay on this blog, "Life's an Adventure!" (www.raymimoore.blogspot.com).
Happy Reading!
